I am here because:

Q: Will the insurance company spy on me?

A:

Yes!  The insurance company will place surveillance on you, if they think the value of your claim justifies the expense.  This will usually happen if the claim goes beyond the adjuster level and into the hands of the defence lawyer.  A key stage at which surveillance is commenced is weeks before the date set for oral discovery, in which the injured client will be asked questions under oath by the defence lawyer.  Many people are tempted to say to heck with my injuries, I’m going to shovel snow, cut the grass or whatever, even though I will “pay for it later”.  Don’t go beyond your limits – someone may be recording this on video.  What they don’t record is how you pay for it later with increased pain.
