I am here because:

When I'm driving and I encounter bicyclists, what rules of the road apply to me as the driver?

A: Remember that when a bicycle is riding in the road they are subject to the same rules as a car.  They need to stop for stop signs and traffic lights and the law requires they drive on the right side of the road in the same direction as the traffic.  Because of the danger a car poses, you need to yield the right of way to bicyclists.  Too many motorists fail to check their side mirrors for a bicyclist who may be approaching from behind them on the right - especially when the driver is turning to the right.  A bicyclist has the same rights as a pedestrian when they are crossing an intersection in a crosswalk.  As the dirver, you must yield.
