What is medical malpractice?
A: Medical malpractice refers to personal injury caused by doctors and hospitals through negligence or other fault such a medical battery (invading a person's bodily integrity without consent). Injury must usually be so severe as to cause permanent pain and suffering and disability, to justive the effort and expense of bringing a claim. You need a skilled and experienced medical malpractice lawyer if you intend to sue for medical negligence or medical battery. Our firm is willing to do these cases on a contingency fee basis, but we do a thorough investigation for merit in the case before we sue. See "So Ches, how do you decide what medical malpractice cases to take?"
