Text Messages While You Drive

Ford is installing a new feature in its vehicles that can read text messages out loud.  The measures, says Ford, is intended to reduce texting while driving.

The software uses a Bluetooth connection and syncs with the phones and alerts users when they receive text messages.  It reads the messages out loud and allows users to respond.

In view of studies which find that texting while driving increases the risk of getting into an accident by up to 23 times, I have doubts that this measure will improve traffic safety.
