Jonathan Fowler completed his articles and was called to the Bar in Victoria British Columbia in June of 2009.  He has since moved back to his home province to join Ches Crosbie Barristers and was subsequently called to the Bar in Newfoundland and Labrador in October of 2009.  He is the son of Justice Robert A. Fowler of the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador, and has a brother, Robin Fowler, who also practices law in Newfoundland and Labrador with the Special Prosecutions Division. 
 
Jonathan obtained two degrees, a B.A. in History and a B.A. in Philosophy, from the University of Calgary in 2004, and completed his LL.B. from the University of Victoria in 2008.

Jonathan is a former competitive swimmer and has competed at both the national and international levels, including the World Cup and was a semi-finalist at the 2000 Canadian Olympic Trials.  He has also worked with the Canadian Coast Guard Inshore Rescue Boat Program for five seasons conducting search and rescue throughout Notre Dame Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador.
